Essential Workers
2020 was a very scary and difficult year for many. Our sponsors were struggling for business and our essential workers were working tirelessly to keep our residents safe and healthy. The Hillsborough Jr Raiders decided to support both our sponsors & our essential workers. Periodically during the crises we partnered with local restaurants to provide & deliver meals to the local hospital.
Thanksgiving Day - Charity Flag Football
The Jr. Raiders have partnered with Steps Together, a Hillsborough based charity, to host a yearly town-wide charity flag football game for the past 5+ years. The event helps raise money for families in need in our community. Kids and adults of all ages join in the fun on Thanksgiving morning for fun "pick-up" style football games.
Meet the NFL Stars
Current and former NFL stars occasionally visit the Jr Raider football practices. They share their playing experiences and help to create a positive football environment in Hillsborough.
Rutgers Day
Our Jr Raider football players are invited to experience a day at Rutgers University. Our athletes are invited to take part in football drills organized by the Rutgers coaching staff and then they have a guided tour of the athletic center, game field & locker rooms.
Movie Night
Jr Raiders sponsored movie nights for the Hillsborough community. Families gather at our football complex to play games and watch a feature film. Events like this are open to the entire Hillsborough community. No pre registration is required. It is our way of giving back to our town.
Touch-A-Truck
What child doesn't love playing on a fire truck, or sitting behind the wheel of a backhoe? Hillsborough Jr Raiders sponsor events such as Touch-A-Truck where we bring together our local businesses and our local families so our children can be wowed by just how enormous trucks can be. At our last event we welcomed the state police helicopter that landed right on our field. The kids, and adults, were amazed! Events such as this are held at no cost to our community. It is our way of thanking our families for all their support.
